The Brewster Police Department is a member of the Cape
Cod Regional Law Enforcement Council. (CCRLEC). The
CCRLEC was created to increase and improve capability to
provide protection of life and property, thereby
preserving the safety and welfare to the entire region.
Other members include all Towns on Cape Cod and
Nantucket.
The CCRLEC allows members to share resources during
those times that a member may not have sufficient
resources to respond to unusual occurrences, natural or
man-made disasters, storms, school or workplace
violence, aircraft accidents, private police details and
other situations requiring exceptional police actions.
The CCRLEC also sponsors specialized training for member
officers. Training in areas has included active shooter
response, search warrants, narcotics investigation,
leadership development and other topics.
Brewster has two officers on the regional SWAT team, two
officers on the regional motor vehicle accident
investigation/reconstruction team and one officer on the
regional active shooter training team.
